Christmas Tree!

I finally decorated for Christmas! I almost didn't do it,
but Marcus really REALLY wanted our tree up, like Grandma!
I'm always glad I did it once I do, it's just the getting it all out and putting it all
away that's the hassle! And now the fun begins with Matthias trying to bat the
balls off the tree and grab everything he can reach. What a great training tool right. . . . :-)

As I look at my finished tree, I'm forced to remember the tree upon which my
Savior was crucified. I'm brought to the foot of the cross realizing that Jesus
knew when He came that He was born into this sinful wicked world to DIE!
Thank you JESUS for paying for my sin on an old rugged Cross. Thank you
for paving the way to eternity . . . I'm so grateful for your gift.

Nursing Home Visit!

Daniel had a nursing home service today and Marcus begged if he could go with and sing for the old people. He informed Daddy that they would be asleep but that he still wanted to go see them. (He's been to a few nursing homes :-)So we made a family affair of it and had a wonderful time serving the Lord together. It was really sweet. Marcus sang "This is My Father's World, and Jesus Loves Me" then he said John 8:12. It was kinda good to seem him act a little shy since he rarely does. When we did it at home I had to tell him to stop yelling it and actually sing :-)! Matthias was a good boy and did a great job making everyone's day by giving them the most precious grins you've ever seen. Daniel said, "I don't even know why I came, they would have been happy just to see the boys"! However, Daniel did preach a very good Gospel message and the boys were out of sight then so I hope and pray that some of them were "awake enough" to allow the Holy Spirit room to work in their heart!

It was too hard to get a straight on shot of Marcus.
Oh well, at least you can kinda hear him!

After the nursing home service we went to a friends house
to practice for Sunday music. She let us take some pictures in their woods!

Daddy is so silly!

Matthias looks so funny here! It was kinda cold so
I think he was getting tired of being outside.

Such a kissable Daddy!

I Love getting such fun pictures of us!

Augsburg College Advent Vespers 2012

I was able to attend a concert with my dear friend Laura and her family last Saturday. It was a nice concert. Sadly I didn't get any other pictures than the picture of the church it was in, but it was fun to be with my friend and her wonderful family. Thanks for taking me along. My favorite was when they sang Silent Night and surrounded the entire audience! WOW!!!! So Neat! I was so saddened however, by the fact that there were so many present there who have a form of godliness but no real relationship with Jesus. So many have this idea that because Jesus died for the sins of the world then they are saved . . . yet the Bible teaches that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world and we mus turn to Him and accept his gift! This church is beautiful but it reminds me of an beautiful person that is empty of the love of Christ!

Snow Fort!!

We had so much fun beginning our fort. It got to be as high as the middle of my thigh. However, now it has been so warm that it and all the snow around it has melted. We shall have to begin again! I think we'll try to make it bigger this time so more people can sit in it. Our goal is to keep adding to it all winter and see how big we can make it. So we will have to start over :-)
